Pat McGrath Mothership eyeshadow palette swatches: Sublimal, Subversive, Decadence palettes
My Mother collection is almost complete. I’ve been waiting for them for soooo long and finally a good friend of mine brought it back for me form the US. (Grrr I wish they’re available in other countries as well!) I am only missing Sublime, and then can I can rest in peace. But for now, let's just enjoy the three palettes I currently own.
First up, Sublimal.
Here's the website's description:
"A captivating collection of 10 cult-classic shades in brilliant blues and violets, mesmerizing jewel tones, lustrous golds and signature matte neutrals that offer pure vibrant colour saturation and diamond sparkle intensity, all married in one iconic palette."
First thoughts, this palette is huge! I didn’t expect it to be this large and heavy at all. You’re getting so much for what you’re paying for. Second, the shimmer shades are beyond this world. I don’t think I’ve seen a shimmer formula like this. The shimmers are very fine and they sparkle like mad! I really don’t know how to express my love for them. See the swatches for yourself!
The shade that surprised me the most was the top right shade (top right in third photo) which at first I thought was a brown shimmer but turned out to be a shifty brown/purple. So pretty. The matte formula is great as well and works great s a base for the shimmers.
OK next, Subversive
I wasn't sure if i was going to buy this to be honest. But the Sephora VIB sale did it. And I don't regret buying it at all.
Here is the company's description:
"A provocative collection of 10 cult-classic shades in vivid violets, mutational blues, sumptuous greens and signature matte neutrals that offer pure vibrant colour saturation and diamond sparkle intensity, all married in one iconic palette."
Annnnnd the swatches did not disappoint! Seriously, look at those shimmers! And believe me, the swatches don't do them justice. In reality, when I dipped my fingers into the pans, they are so buttery and glide on beautifully. I think Pat really does one of the best eyeshadow formulas out there.
Dont see clearly? Here's a more closeup photo.
OK Finally, Decadance!
This was the latest release, and seems to be her best yet. According to many reviews, people seemed to think this one tops all other palettes. Let's see if the claims are true.
The description from the website:
"Luxuriate in the rich splendour of Mother’s most precious jewels, ten decadent hues illuminated with diamond sparkle intensity. The most indulgent spread of sumptuous blues and exquisite golds, chromecast metallics and incendiary coppers ignite eyes with vivid color intensity, presented in a luxe, couture palette."
I gotta say, the palette really do live up to the claims
Just by looking at the palette, I think the two shades that stood out for me was the two blues. And I was not disappointed when swtached!
Seriously guys, you all need to try her palettes to fully understand what I'm talking about. I haven't met anyone who didn't like them YET. They are must haves.
