Chantecaille Butterfly Collection for Spring 2021 Review & Swatches

Hey guys, introducing Chantecaille’s Spring 2021 collection, the Butterfly collection!

Brand’s description: New for spring 2021, meet The Butterfly Collection. Inspired by the shimmer and splendor of a butterfly's wings, it features the Butterfly Eye Quartet shadow palette and limited-edition 3 Lip Chic hues. We are supporting the protection of butterflies through Xerces Society and their Pollinator Program.

First up is the Butterfly Eye Quartet

Brand’s description: A collectible, limited-edition compact with four gently shimmering shades inspired by the brilliant hues and ethereal shimmer of a butterfly’s wings. Three formulas—satin, shimmer and chrome pearl—mix and match to create beautifully defined eye looks.

The compact has a butterfly on the cover, along with a leaflet about the campaign.

Shade One: A taupe with a satin finish

Shade Two: A triple chrome with pink, green, and gold pearls

Shade Three: A shimmering peach

Shade Four: A rose gold with a satin finish

Chantecaille Butterfly Eye Quartet Swatches

The shades are pretty sheer and light, but they have very finely milled pearls (reminds me of Japanese brand eyeshadows). They work best as light, healthy, barely there look. If you want something pigmented, this palette is not for you.

Chantecaille Butterfly Lip Chic - Peach Blossom, Clover, Hyssop

Brand’s description: Glossy and lightweight, smoothing Lip Chic is infused with hydrating hyaluronic acid for plumper-looking lips that feel incredibly soft and nourished. Butterflies are pretty pollinators that promote global biodiversity.

We’re supporting Xerces Society, which works to conserve invertebrates and their habitats by regenerating native landscapes, in turn promoting a vibrant food system. Chantecaille's donation will support the restoration of more than 40 acres of native habitat for butterflies and other pollinators in California's Central Valley, source of a quarter of our nation's food.

Apply Lip Chic directly to the lips. Start in the middle and work the colour outward.

I usually steer away from sheer lipsticks, but this one is super special!. The formula is a bit sticky but feels super moisturizing and it stays. Most sheer lipsticks fade away as soon as I take a sip of water but this stuff doesn’t. It’s a formula you all need! I've been wearing them to work for a really long time (before covid happened) and it looks amazing and make me look more "alive" when I'm sleep deprived.

These Lip Chics are the best Sheer Lipsticks in my stash, hands down.
