Lamer Skincare Review Part 1: The Moisturizing Matte Lotion, The Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation, The Lip Volumizer, and The Lip Balm

Hello everyone, I think this blog (parts 1 and 2) is probably the most expensive to review lol.

I mean, I’ve heard about Lamer since I was a kid but was never able to afford it. Now that I have a full timejob that pays me quite OK, I guess it’s finally time I try this brand.

I started out with the Merry Little Miracles discovery kit, and then decided to purchase full sized ones. Below is the link to my review of the discovery kit.

OK let’s start!

Lamer The Eye Concentrate, The Moisturizing Matte Lotion, The Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation, The Lip Volumizer, and The Lip Balm

First up is the The Moisturizing Matte Lotion. I actually brought this with me to the Maldives. It worked perfectly in hot weather.

Pat a small amount between fingertips and press gently into cleansed skin, morning and night.

Seriously like a miracle, it does dry matte! Like at first my skin feels refreshed but then it dries completely matte. I don’t really know how to describe it but its a moisturizing cream that dries matte. Magic. Perfect for hot and humid weather.

After skin prepping, next is The Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20

Shake well. Smooth onto face with fingertips or the Foundation Brush and blend outward from center down to neck to achieve a perfected, flawless look.

I have tried this foundation, and I’m loving it! The formula feels light, watery, somthing in between a serum foundation and a liquid foundation. It is very easy to spread with fingers.

However, I think this is best for people who already have nice, smooth skin, since the formula is pretty sheer and glowy. If you are looking for something with more coverage, this is not the foundation for you (or you can use in in combination with a concealer).

The description says it is long wearing, but in my opinion because of it’s sheerness, this doesn’t last as long as my other foundations, but instead it gave me a glowy healthy look as time goes by, which is also a good thing.

I think you should try this out by yourself before buying, since its quite pricy and see if it suits your skin (or rather if your skin is good enough to suit this foundation).

Next is the The Lip Volumizer

To be honest I ordered this out of curiosity because I absolutely did NOT need another lip serum. But since its Lamer, why not give it a try?

I love this lip serum/plumper/balm. Now that I work from home and don’t need to wear any makeup, I’ve been wearing this lip volumizer non stop. It is very similar to the Dior Lip Maximizer but this one has the slightest pearly sheen and the cooling effect is a lot more than Dior. I think you can just choose one, either this or Dior, to me the difference is too minor to own both.

Lastly, The Lip Balm

Brand’s description:

Warm a small amount of balm with fingertip and apply with light patting motions. Apply before lip color for long-lasting soothing. Apply under or over The Lip Volumizer for a voluminous looking sheen that plumps, hydrates and defines lips.

I have always been very curious about this lip balm because my highschool best friend refused to wear any other lip balm but this one.

It’s a waxy lip balm. The texture is quite hard compared to other brands (I mean you cant push your finger in it and make a hole). It doesn’t turn liquidy in the hot climate (great for me!)

It has a slight minty scent and a slight cooling sensation. I have been using the balm at night for a while, and while I love using it, I don’t think it’s significantly better than other lip balms, considering the price point. I still say the best thing to use at night is the Bite Beauty Lip Mask.
