My Stellar Beauty Collection review and swatches.
Here is my whole Stellar Beauty stash. I got the Cosmic Face powders, Sculptor palette, foundation and primer. Notice they’re all face base products? Staller is founded especially for medium skintoned gals who are left out when buying base products.
“STELLAR is a new makeup line. A long overdue one. It’s about reconnecting with the foundational elements of good makeup to complement each unique woman.”
Their foundation range is catered towards medium skin especially, because they know there are many variant medium skin tones. Although I’m not medium skinned, I use their light shades when I’m quite tanned.
First up are the Cosmic Face powder in shade Glow01 and Haze.
“STELLAR Cosmic Face Powder is an invisible formula that enhances natural radiance and sets makeup leaving a flawless finish and beaming glow. Enhance foundation while visibly blurring the appearance of fine lines and pores. This silky powder adjusts to various sources of light throughout the day and night. Skin is left visibly smooth, soft and luxurious to the touch. It helps regulate shine and impeccably sets foundation.”
I use the Glow01 to dust around the outlet parts of my face when I want a tan look. I use Haze allover when I want to look brighter. These are very fine powders, no complaints at all. I think these are pretty close to the Byterry Hyaluronic face powders, my all-time holy grail.
Another favourite from the brand, the Face Sculptor Contour Highlighting palette - Umbra. There are two toned paletteds, light and dark, this is the lighter one. There are two highlighters one leaning pink and one leaning gold, and one contour shade.
“STELLAR Face Sculptor Contour and Highlighting Palette is a travel-friendly, easy-to-use contour and highlighting palette. Each includes a satin contour/bronzer with two buttery shimmering highlighters. Take the guesswork out of contouring with the Face Sculptor Contour and Highlighting Palette. Each carefully selected shade has a rich undertone for universally-flattering, natural-looking, chiseled definition. Advanced technology delivers the perfect glow with finely milled, silky shades that melt on to skin. Each palette contains a dark matte that creates shadows, and two gleaming highlighters that are meant to give a multidimensional sheen, enhancing and illuminating all skin tones.”
I really love the buttery-ness of the powders. I’m very impressed with the contour shade. It’s not too orange nor too grey, just perfect. It blends into my skin so well. Love!
Lastly, the highlight of the brand, the base products.
The foundation and primer duo.Their foundation range is catered towards medium skin especially, because they know there are many variant medium skin tones. Although I’m not medium skinned, I use their light shades when I’m quite tanned.
“STELLAR Brilliant Primer is lightweight, illuminating and hydrating. It blurs the look of imperfections for a flawless complexion on its own or under your foundation. Infused with an advanced formula of essential oils and natural extracts; gingko biloba, aloe, ginseng, camelia leaf, chamomile leaf, safflower seed oil and grapeseed oil. This primer gently absorbs into skin, injecting a surge of moisture. Your face appears pore-less, your skin refined. Makeup application is seamless and long lasting. Your skin feels soft and looks radiant.”
I find the primer to be mediocre, but it works well with the foundation. The formula does have silicone, it reminds me of Benefit Pore-fecessional.
“STELLAR Limitless Foundation is a natural looking, oil free, foundation that gives you true coverage and a luminous finish. This highly pigmented lightweight formula builds and blends effortlessly and reduces the appearance of discoloration for more uniform skin. It is ultimate radiance for your complexion. There are very small degrees of change in complexion from person-to-person with a similar skin color. Those slight differences are due to skin undertones. STELLAR Limitless Foundation has been formulated according to these undertones, and not the traditional light, medium and dark tones. For example, S01 is very fair with yellow undertones, S02 is very fair with pink undertones, S03 is fair with beige undertones and S04 is fair with yellow undertones. They are in the same color family and do not range from very fair to medium.”
What I like about the foundation is the shade range. They are not your typical range that goes from light to dark. Their focus in on skin undertone. So perfect for those of you who aren’t mainstream skintoned.
