My picks from the Tomford Lips and Boys&Girls 2018
I think Tom Ford advocates like myself would know, that every year Tom Ford releases new shades of the “mini” lipsticks, namely Lips and Boys for the cream and matte formulas, and the Lips and Girls for the Ultra Rich and Sheer formulas. And this year again I never failed to go test out the new shades. And I ended up with 5 new ones.
These go into my Tom Ford collection vault. If you’re curious which Tom Ford shades I own, check out the blogpost below.
OK continuing with the post.
The shade I was attracted to right away was “Gal”, not because of the shade, but because of the name lol (because of Gal Gadot obviously). I just had to buy it. But the shade itself turned out to be lovely, so no regrets.
That’s Gal. Just a lovely Nude in the Ultra Rich formula. These are quite moisturizing and just a polite shade.
Also from the Lips and Girls was Helena which was initially sold out instore, but I went back to get it online. It’s not as dark as it looks in the bullet, but actually is a very pretty shade of MLBB.
And lastly Anne, which was a bright fun but wearable color for everyday.
So, welcome to the Girls family! Now I got 13 girls, with no intention of finishing any of them.
Below are swatches of all the girls I own.
Next are my more vivid girls.
So there you go. And like I said, if you want to see more swatches of all the Lips and Girls, I also swatched all of them at the counter. Link Below.
From the Boys part, I got Bryan and River. Bryan was a metallic finish, not something I usually go for, but Tom Ford managed to make it look classy, without that funky disco look. The payoff is a gorgeous classy natural nude with shine.
Also another shade was River, a brownish nude in a satin finish. They might look similar on the outside, but the formula is completely different. One thing I’ve learned about Tom Ford lipsticks, the there are just darn so many shades to choose from, just because one can have many finishes.
OK now they join my other boys, totaling 14 now.
