Tom Ford New Lips and Girls review and swatches.

Hey peeps, this post is actually my favourite post to write. Why? Cause it’s about Tom Ford! I love everything Tom Ford does (Beauty-wise anyways, I don’t have money to buy his fashion stuff). I fell in love with the Spanish Pink lipstick when a friend of mine introduced me to the brand ( I was still a novice back then). And after that more just coming. I think I own 12 of his full sized ones now.

So when he launched the Lips and Boys in 2015-2016, I was screaming for more! Unfortunately the branch near me didn’t have much in stock so I had to order some from abroad too. I ended up having 10 of the Boys, also pictured below.

Swatches of all my Tom Ford Lipsticks: Creams, Mattes, Girls and Boys

This year, we have the Lips and Girls! I was excited for the launch, until it was revealed that they were sheer lipsticks. I’m not a big fan of sheer lippies, so I was a bit let down. I wasn’t sure if I will get them anymore. They first swatches I saw was from Reallyree’s page, and I picked out about 7-8 shades to go try out at the counter.

So last Saturday was the day I finally went to see them in person (they launched on Friday 15th Sept but I was working my day job so I couldn’t go). I showed my list to the BA and sat in the makeup chair. I tried the first one on, Fabiola, a sheer nude with shimmers. It looked very plain in the bullet. But on my lips, OH MY. The shimmers make up lips look so full and healthy and so . . luxe . in a way I cant describe. I was totally blown away!

So I tried more shades on my list. Some was a definitely yes upon application (like Katherine for example). Some was a 50-50. I ended up choosing 5 out of my list. Below are my initial picks: Fabiola, Katherine, Zoe, Joan, and Naomi.

So then I went on the swatch the other colors not on my list. Still, they look plain and nothing special. So I picked out the nude shades to try. WHOA Ellie and Julianne (sheer with shimmer) suit me perfectly so I got those too. There are many nude sheers with shimmers, so you just pick the one that compliments your lips the best. I don’t think swatches do them justice. They look nice on my arm, but they are WAY nicer on the lips, or over another lip color. I really suggest you to go try them out in person. Then I wandered off to try some more shades and . . they just keep coming. Some shades that didn’t really look good in the swatches turned out to be VERY nice. So I got 3 more, Ines, Gala, and Marisa. Photos below.

Then the BA suggested I try the new Boys. Tomford launched 6 new boys this year, all in a fiery red range. I tried on 3-4 and ended up buying Warren and Connor. I just can’t resist Tom Ford cream formulas!
