Hello everyone, this blog will be about all my Tatcha face creams. I fell in love at first sight with Tatcha from their super pretty packaging (and lavender is my favourite colour too). So I started one by one and ended up with a chuck load of their products - which I love!

I will split my Tatcha collection into 3 blogs, the face creams, other skincare, and lip products. Stay tuned for parts 2 and 3 to come.

On this blog I will focus on the three face creams that I own. Tatcha also has other creams in different formulas. I have also tried the Silky Cream as a tester, and I loved it as well. Super moisturising, but too expensive to buy full size.

The creams are housed in a Japanese style packaging, where you pull out a box that contains these creams. The second photo shows the creams in their boxes. So cute right?

Let’s start with my favourite cream, the Water Cream!

Tatcha The Water Cream

Tatcha The Water Cream

This cream is intended for oily to combination skin, and is oil free. I loved it since the first time I tried it. The texture is unlike any other cream I’ve tried. It feels slippery, but feels very moisturising. I think this is best for night, I feel it is too slippery to wear under makeup.

Here’s the brand’s description: This oil-free, anti-aging water cream releases a burst of skin-improving Japanese nutrients, powerful botanicals and optimal hydration for pure, poreless skin.

Provides nutrient-rich, balanced hydration: Unique water-burst cream breaks upon application to deeply deliver treatment benefits, hydrating without leaving skin sticky or greasy.

  • Clarifies and refines skin with pure, powerful Japanese botanicals:

    • Japanese Wild Rose visibly tightens pores and smoothes skin texture.

    • Japanese Leopard Lily helps control excess oil and clarify skin by encouraging natural skin turnover.

  • Delivers anti-aging Japanese superfoods:

    • Hadasei-3™, an anti-aging trinity of green tea, rice & algae, restores healthy-looking, youthful radiance.

    • Imparts a subtle, shine-free glow with a touch of 23-karat gold.

I’ve already gone through 3 tubs of this, and already got a backup ready! If you have oily ot combination skin, I really recommend this!

Next is the Indigo Cream. The Indigo line is created for sensitive skin. I bought this to use during my troubled skin times.

The whole Indigo line is blue (duh its called Indigo). This cream is very sticky. I gotta say one of the most sticky creams I’ve tried ever. It almost feels like putting glue on your face. It also gives the feeling of putting on some kind of ointment on your face. But I guess that’s why its for sensitive skin.

Brand’s description: Newly advanced, this multi-tasking, fragrance-free moisturizer delivers therapeutic natural ingredients to provide relief and long-lasting hydration for sensitive skin. Awarded the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance.

Velvety-rich cream advanced with an ultra comfortable, cushiony texture helps relieve the skin, leaving it visibly softer, smoother and firmer.

  • Natural Japanese Indigo extract calms and soothes skin, now included at a higher concentration for increased efficacy.

  • Colloidal Oatmeal, a FDA-designated skin protectant, helps relieve minor skin irritation and itching caused by eczema and rashes.

  • Hadasei-3, a trinity of anti-aging Japanese superfoods, restores a healthy-looking, youthful radiance.

Ideal for all skin types. Formulated specially for sensitive skin showing signs of eczema, dermatitis, rosacea or allergies.

The cream is thick and pretty tacky. I don’t recommend this for people who want to feel comfortable after putting on their night cream.

Lastly, and the most recent launch, the Dewy Skin Cream.

Tatcha has launched many other Dewy Skin products, starting from their famous Dewy Skin Mist and the Dewy Skin Concentrate. Since I love both, I decided to buy try the Dewy Skin Cream.

To my surprise, I found that this cream is very similar to the Indigo Cream. It’s both sticky but moisturising. I guess that’s how you get the dewiness!

Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream

Here’s the brand’s description: A rich cream that feeds skin with plumping hydration and antioxidant-packed Japanese purple rice for a dewy, healthy glow. Ideal for dry skin, but can be used on normal skin for those who prefer a richer texture.

This cream intensely hydrates and seals in moisture, helping to replenish ceramides for a healthy bounce and instant luminosity. A fermentation of Japanese anti-aging superfoods — green tea, rice, and algae — helps skin to look its most beautiful at any age.

The formula is very very rich. People with dry skin or those who live in a dry climate would definitely love this.
